Full Time Patient Regsitrar

MVMC is currently seeking a Patient Registrar to work full-time in our medical center. The Patient Registrar will register patients, receive phone calls, and assist in the coordination and admissions of patient accounts as they relate to all functions from billing through payment.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Hospital

Act as switchboard for the main facility telephone number.
Register patients for ER and other hospital outpatient services including Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits at registration
Post payments both timely and efficiently
Scanning as assigned
Audit registrations completed by NAC and nursing staff
Other duties as assigned by management


Clinic

Answer clinic telephone
Schedule Appointments for patients

Collect Copays
Take Messages for MA’s and providers if needed and send tasks.

Full Time Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant

Assists Physician and Physicians Assistants in the examination and treatment of patients. Duties to include interviews with patients to obtain medical history, check pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height, vision and hearing. Assists clinicians in therapeutic procedures such as applying and removing casts and all medical exams. Use of Electronic Medical Record required. “Employee performs all duties in a manner consistent with the mission and values of MVMC.”

Job Duties:

1. Works under direct supervision of a provider. Assist provider in keeping on schedule and notify the provider of changes to the schedule.

2. Rooms patients in a timely and efficient manner. Work as a team member with all other clinic staff to promote caring, efficient, and timely care for patients.

3. Maintain height, weight, respiratory, blood pressure, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation in an electronic health record format. Updates medical allergies and medication lists. Will also record patient presenting complaint and pertinent history.

4. Assist providers in scheduling tests, making referrals to other providers or for other medical services, and notifying patients of their test results. Interact with patients to facilitate the scheduling of needed services such as procedures, laboratory work, imaging and referrals.

5. Set up procedure rooms for procedures and assist with procedures as needed. Assure exam rooms are completely supplied with materials needed by providers. Routinely check for outdated medications and supplies in the exam and procedure rooms.

6. Perform EKG's, PFT's, vision testing, hearing testing and injections. Responsible for properly labeling and delivery of all pathology specimens; biopsies, PAPs, etc. Other medical and administrative duties as outlined by the provider.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Certified (AAMA) or registered medical assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.

Minimum Educational Requirements

High School Diploma

Minimum Experience

Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in medical setting preferred

Special qualifications or skills

Strong interpersonal skills and working knowledge of PC's preferred

Physical Requirements

Extensive standing and walking with occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching. Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull at least 50 pounds. Very good close vision and the ability to identify and distinguish color. Exposure to fumes and airborne particles and Blood Borne Pathogens. Some risk of radiation exposure. Some risk of electrical shock. Work is in a clean medical environment. Noise level is quiet to moderate. Frequent keyboarding and repetitive movements.

Full Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Lab Manager

Madison Valley Medical Center, Ennis Montana, a 10 bed Critical Access Hospital, is currently seeking a Lab Manager/Clinical Laboratory Scientist. This is a generalist daytime position with rotating call for nights and on weekends. Call time will usually include one or two weeknights per week and one weekend per month. Responsible for collecting patient samples, receiving and distributing specimens, preparing specimens for examination, and analyzing specimens in all areas of the laboratory. Essential Functions:

-Collect laboratory samples from patients

-Perform regular laboratory testing and duties of a Medical Technologist

-In consultation with the department head, the pathologist and the medical staff of the hospital, determine procedures to be used. Periodically evaluate procedures and make changes ad indicated.

-Assist in the maintenance of all laboratory records including quality control, preventative maintenance, daily worksheets, evaluation of results, monthly work load tallies, procedure manuals, proficiency testing results and corrective action, and quality assurance.

-Assist in the maintenance of all equipment within the laboratory. Assist in performing and documentation of the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of all instruments.

-Assist in monitoring the inventory of all supplies needed to perform the testing in the laboratory.

-Follow the facility policy for confidentiality, compliance, and security programs.

-Participate in a daily quality control program and a quarterly proficiency testing program.

Position Requirements:

-Licensed as a CLS in the State of Montana. (Or have the ability to obtain a Montana license within 45 days after a temporary permit is issued.)

-Ability to communicated effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team

-Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

-Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service-oriented environment

-Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position

-Be highly motivated and able to work independently

-Phlebotomy experience a plus

Madison Valley Medical Center (MVMC) in Ennis, Montana is accepting Part-Time Day/Night Nurse Aide - Admitting Clerk (CNA) applications:

The Nurse Aide - Admitting Clerk is responsible for fulfilling the duties of a certified nursing assistant as well as fulfilling the task of admitting and registering new patients in the hospital setting. In addition, candidates should possess a solid understanding of medical terminology, good customer service skills, computer skills, phone experience, and good written/verbal communication skills. This position will adhere to all policies, procedures and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.

Attention to detail is essential. This position requires a self-directed individual with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. A positive attitude and exceptional communication skills are key components to success for this position.

Under general supervision the Registered Nurse is expected to plan and implement nursing processes of assessment, evaluation, and execute clinical skills in the promotion of health. RN is expected to incorporate evidence-based nursing practices consistent with national standards. RN will assume great responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing care rendered. It is expected that RN will direct the activities of nursing and ancillary caregivers while maintaining standards of professional care.
