Full Time Cleaning Specialist

MVMC is currently seeking a Cleaning Specialist to work full-time in our medical center. Cleaning Specialists are responsible for sustaining a sterile environment in all areas of the hospital. Cleans and sanitizes horizontal and vertical surfaces as directed. Essential Functions:

Monitors building to ensure a neat and clean presentation and safe environment.
Performs various routine cleaning and maintenance activities to include sweeping and mopping of all solid surface flooring and vacuuming of carpeted areas.
Cleans restrooms to include disinfecting toilets, sinks, tub-showers and floors.
Dusts all horizontal surfaces, as well as, dusts and washes windows and window coverings.
Transports trash, linens and bio-hazardous waste to appropriate area using appropriate containers.
Ensures all cleaning supplies for entire facility are ordered and maintained at appropriate levels, safely stored and labeled.
Stocks and restocks closets, carts, supply room, patient and non-patient areas.
Maintains patient/employee confidentiality.
Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Maintains and empties sharps containers throughout the building.

Position Requirements:

Ability to read,comprehend and write simple verbal and written instructions, short correspondence and memos.
3 Years previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a health care setting.
Must be able to stand and walk for periods up to 6 hours frequently.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently during a six hour shift.
Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 45 pounds frequently.
Must be able to climb step ladders occasional.

Full Time Medical Biller/Coder

The Medical Biller/Coder is responsible for making sure that all claims are compiled and submitted to correct payer timely and efficiently.

Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.

• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.

• Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.

• Researching and appealing denied claims.

• Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.

• Working with insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.

Position Requirements

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in hospital or clinic setting

Special Qualifications or Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Full Time Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Lab Manager

Madison Valley Medical Center, Ennis Montana, a 10 bed Critical Access Hospital, is currently seeking a Lab Manager/Clinical Laboratory Scientist. This is a generalist daytime position with rotating call for nights and on weekends. Call time will usually include one or two weeknights per week and one weekend per month. Responsible for collecting patient samples, receiving and distributing specimens, preparing specimens for examination, and analyzing specimens in all areas of the laboratory. Essential Functions:

-Collect laboratory samples from patients

-Perform regular laboratory testing and duties of a Medical Technologist

-In consultation with the department head, the pathologist and the medical staff of the hospital, determine procedures to be used. Periodically evaluate procedures and make changes ad indicated.

-Assist in the maintenance of all laboratory records including quality control, preventative maintenance, daily worksheets, evaluation of results, monthly work load tallies, procedure manuals, proficiency testing results and corrective action, and quality assurance.

-Assist in the maintenance of all equipment within the laboratory. Assist in performing and documentation of the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of all instruments.

-Assist in monitoring the inventory of all supplies needed to perform the testing in the laboratory.

-Follow the facility policy for confidentiality, compliance, and security programs.

-Participate in a daily quality control program and a quarterly proficiency testing program.

Position Requirements:

-Licensed as a CLS in the State of Montana. (Or have the ability to obtain a Montana license within 45 days after a temporary permit is issued.)

-Ability to communicated effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team

-Ability to read and communicate effectively in English

-Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service-oriented environment

-Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including the Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the position

-Be highly motivated and able to work independently

-Phlebotomy experience a plus
