Dawn Conklin, Executive Director
Dawn Conklin serves as the Foundation’s Executive Director. Her focuses include managing daily operations, working with the Board of Directors, and fundraising for the medical center. She enjoys meeting new people and learning about their life experiences as she promotes the important work of the Madison Valley Medical Center and invites community members to partner with the foundation to support high-quality health care.
Dawn earned her MS in Economic and Community Development and a BA in International Business. She has over 25 years of experience working in multi-cultural settings in non-profit and U.S. government positions. Dawn has lived and worked in five countries with her husband and raised their three children against the backdrop of rickshaws, gothic cathedrals, African villages and while camping out on safaris. As an aid worker, she has seen first-hand the lack of health care and its impact on the social and economic fabric of a community and nations at large. Her desire for improving healthcare initiatives led to work with HIV/AIDS (South Africa), cancer (Uganda), agriculture, nutrition, and malnutrition prevention in children (Ghana). Dawn is passionate about seeing lives transform, whether amongst the underprivileged in Africa or addressing economic and social justice issues in U.S. communities.
