About MVMC Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy

We are proud to offer Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) provided by highly skilled osteopathic physician, Dr. Dustin J Brown D.O. OMT is a hands-on method of practicing medicine that uses palpation in addition to history and other physical exam findings to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal dysfunctions that can lead to pain, reduced range of motion, inflammation, and disease. OMT is standard training that all osteopathic physicians receive during medical school. Dr. Brown has completed a yearlong fellowship in addition to medical school to advance his skills. Based on same day exam findings Dr. Brown selects the most appropriate treatment technique for you. Techniques utilized may include stretching, gentle pressure, direct force, traction, cupping, relaxation, and massage to restore proper alignment and function to bones and joints to promote healthy blood flow to muscles and tissues. OMT has been shown to effectively treat numerous ailments and injuries. We believe that experiencing hands on, drug-free, relief and restoration of overall health is possible with our team's approach to OMT.
